Breastfeeding tips are little tips that are supposed to help you and the baby. Feeding the baby with your own milk is a fantastic adventure, that only a mother can experience. It is important to be well prepared for the job, so you can really enjoy this. I recommend reading my How to make breastfeeding pleasant and easy guide right during the pregnancy. You will find all of the needful information there. If you want to start with some tips, here it comes!

Stay confident

You can do this! Breastfeeding is natural, but it also needs some skills and practice. Don’t get discouraged if you’re having trouble at the beginning, it is natural. You and the baby need to learn each other’s bodies and how to latch and unlatch and stay comfortable. You are going to figure it out very fast!

Find the best position

I mean the best position for you and the baby. It is crucial that your baby is comfortable, to be able to latch correctly. Although you are going to spend quite some time feeding, so your comfort is also important. You can find some drawing in my book. Don’t hesitate to change position every once in a while, but you will see you will have the favorite one.

Use the pump

I know it is a unique bond that you’re having with your little one while breastfeeding. Although you need some rest too, and feeding every day and night may be exhausting. Let someone help you! Use the pump, keep the milk in a fridge or even in a freezer (you will find instruction in my guide).

Let the daddy have some fun too!

Eat more

Breastfeeding is like going to the gym! Ok, maybe not accurate but it burns a lot of calories! Carrying the baby around as well. Having a newborn may be like all day at the fitness class. Remember about proper calories intake on your own! Little snacks at breastfeeding place are very helpful.

Those breastfeeding tips are supposed to keep you happy and taken care of. New moms often forget about their needs. It is understandable, but you need to stay in good condition to take good care of the baby. Try to remember that.
